Who We Serve
KIT has formal collaborative relationships with 61 organizations operating at over 299 site locations in San Diego County. KIT also trains U.S. Navy Child and Youth Programs worldwide and thanks to the Mitsubishi Electric America Foundation, KIT serves 10 National Affiliates who receive training and technical support from KIT using a combination of live visits and cutting-edge technology.
KIT’s services are provided free of charge to its 61 affiliate organizations representing over 299 sites in San Diego County. During fiscal year ’08 -’06 KIT trained a total of 5,678y outh providers in the best practices in inclusion. Since 1997, 15,748 children with disabilities were co-enrolled with 218,1562 typically developing children at KIT affiliate sites; this amounted to over 795,198 hours of inclusive youth programming.
